Zoning Board Report: Zoning Board is looking at the ordinances that need some clarification and working on making some changes. Comments from citizens present:
Loren Dahle questioned if we had the radon gas test retested. It was stated it was, but we had not received the results yet. Motion by Karsten and seconded by Valentyn and carried unanimously to pay the claims and accounts and the late claims as printed. Police car replacement tabled until next meeting. B-Top Grant Wolf stated that a lot of cities are hesitant to go forward with this grant, due to the fact no one knows what the cost will be. Grant is tabled until a later date; Wolf will give updates as he gets them. Audit: Morey Schaefer from Abdo, Eick and Meyer gave the audit report. Auditors were glad to see the microfiche checks, double checks on financials. Need to accept an out of state travel policy which we have already done. State aid needs to be paid within 30 days of receipt. Motion by Flaten seconded by Valentyn and carried unanimously to accept the audit report as given. Karsten questioned the inoperable vechile ordinance the city has. Karsten wonders what is considered inoperable. Inoperable has to be able to run and have current tabs on. Osborne said that they are enforcing this year round. Osborne stated that the mobile home park has quite a few of non licensed vehicles in the park. If not enforced, it will lead to health hazards and rodents start to live in them. Karsten wondered why they are not given the chance to come to the city council when this is an issue. Osborne stated that they are given a 10 day notice and usually it is taken care of. Second monthly meeting after much discussion, it was decided to keep both of the monthly city council meetings so that we are not paying late fee and with zoning issues that might arise as the weather starts getting nicer out. Correspondence and announcements:
